If the pedal is soft, then I would if you haven't already put on braided pipes, as some swell will occur in std pipes naturally, then make sure it is bled correctly.
I would also make sure the rear brakes are adjusted up properly, fords have a habit of the auto adjusters not being very effective, try the brake pedal after adjusting rear brake adjusters, these can give a huge amount of travel when not perfect.
Make sure you have fresh, ie not stored in your garage for a year fluid bled through to all brakes rears included.
I just buy 1L at a time when needed, so it is always fresh for this reason.
