hmm, so you think a FOCUS 2.0 ecu and key chip would do the trick? bearing in mind its a COUGAR engine? but it is a zetec blacktop... same as the 1.8 that came out of mine...

ive done quite alot to it... just trying to get it all to run before i do even more and tidy it all up

do you think having the 1.8 ecu plugged in is why the engine sounds like its misfiring?
