I don't know that ecu at all, but no doubt it has some idle strategy in it to run a iscv of some description, you may well need to go into the ecu to turn it on, if not already ?, and tell the ecu what sort of iscv it is, whether you want mapped or fixed position etc to control it, you can always test it's working by going into live set up, and raising the speed to see that it increases.
As regards getting enough air in for ALS, a KA one will flow plenty enough air imo to do this, if not there are other iscv's with much more flow capacity, if the ecu can do fly by wire you could always use a motorised tb you would defo have enough air then if the ecu can control the/a fly by wire tb ?
