we use bog standard rtv silicone sealant at my work (daf dealer) its multi purpose water proof oil proof heat resistant to 250 degrees c and is used on anything from half sharfts to gear box caseings to engine oil/water gaskets never had a problem with it and its fine on my ybs paper gasket / half moons!
