The "worth" is not answerable in my opinion, as it varies from person to, person, what someone is willing to pay for the same car.
For example I disregard ALL history and buy on what I see, my cossie had genuine wings, ie about 18 years old, so that was worth LESS in my opinion, ford rustproofing is not the best in the world, I would be happier paying more for a car that's had new wings fitted properly, my view is that there would be rust lurking so would need new wings before long, if the car had had new wings boot/bonnet/doors etc I would like it more, assuming all done well.
I have bought mostly cat d for the very reason you get more car for your money, you can get some serious bargains because of peoples perception about value, but I ONLY ever buy cars I don't ever sell, so each car is used until no longer economically vaiable for me.
