My 1.6 Focus gets 21-27mpg around down, 30-35mpg if I thrash it and 45-50mpg on the motorway or a run.

Unfortunatley I don't get 80mpg if I thrash it on the motorway like I expected it too

Focus MPG sucks! But when they work 100% they are very nice to drive! Mine was 100% for the first time in 4-5 years for all of 130miles and the rear wheel bearing threw itself big time.
