Agree with everything thats been said here bar the part about reciever around the ignition barrell, I can't see this would need to be changed personally as it merely "Reads the key", it's not specific to the car etc.
Why do you need a fusebox out of interest?
If it's a 1600 then it's a big job to change to the larger engines as they bare no resembleance to what you have fitted already bar the name, the Sigma and Zetec-E range of engines are completely different, the inlet and exhaust are on opposing sides to start with, you will also need different suspension as they are heavier in addition to whats mentioned.
Best advise is to tune the current engine or sell the car and buy the faster car outright, personally I don't see the point in making a car something it isn't when there is an easier option but of course thats just my opinion.
