I would asume they put it back on its old plate that they would have with the history but it doesn't always go back on the same plate as i removed mine after being on the car 4 years and they gave it a completely new reg.
That's exactly what I was thinking. So if the car had plates just put on the car the op wouldn't of been able to insure it as the reg wouldn't exist. Unless he insured on the private reg?
