No smoke, it simply wont rev past about 2.5k rpm's. You can sit in nuetral and floor the accelerator pedal and it just hits 2.5k and stops. If you drive it I would say the best description is that the rev limiter has been lowered.
Dad said since I put new plugs, leads and air filter it takes less time to "warm up" and also now doesnt repeat this so soon. Before it would go back to that within half hour to an hour of leaving the car, now he said he's been leaving it a few hours and it would be ok.
The big thing with the mino service is the car apparently runs pretty well once it's cleared this cold start issue. He said it's faster, more responsive and so far, using less fuel.
I'll try and locate the ICV this weekend and pop it off. Would brake cleaner be the best thing to clean it up with?
