As I said the kit does need a SMALL amount of machining to fit, the front bearing housing which you get as part of the kit is around 1.6mm too big in diameter, so needs machining, and is around 10mm too long so needs the end cutting off(on lathe), that's it, about £25 in a local engineering shop, easiest job in the world to do, the std cossie T5 bearing fits perfectly, just need to prise out the outer race, and SHIM, put into new bearing housing, job jobbed.
The difference is astounding in both pedal effort, and feel/use, seriously I doubt the pedal is even 1/2 the weight it was before, and that's with going from std cable to with std diaphragm to Alcon 6 paddle and alcon cover, and it is just so progressive, I reckon with a bit of luck you'd do it in a day, and kick yourself for not having done it sooner.
Yes the kit I bought was advertised NOT for 4/6 cylinder, but with a little work works perfect.
Due to my " nice" hit and run drink driver trying to kill me my left leg is around 1 1/4 to 1 1/2" shorter than my right leg, so what I love about the linkage I made was the ability to simply apply a 13mm spanner and set the pedal height where I need it, about 1" higher than the brake in my case.
