If you can gain access to the intermidiate shaft and rack main bolts then it's easy. If not it can be a nightmare.
Remove both wheels.
Undo both track rod ends.
Undo intermidiate shaft from the coupling near the bulkhead.
Remove both rack bolts through the cross memberUndo the one 10mm bolt which will allow both th feed and return pipe to come free, remembering to collect as muh of thebleaked fluid into a container as possible. It makes a mess so you have been warned.
Label the pipes as to where they go as they can be easily mixed up.
You may also have to undo some little diddly plastic screw pipe holders.
Pull the passenger side of the rack towards you.
Holding the rack, twist it along it's length to get the steerig knuckle to clear the little hollow just below on the cross member.
Remove rack.
If this doesn't do the trcik you will have to remove the rack end of the intermidiate shaft which, let's just say, can be a little hard to reach.
The intermidiate shaft has a little cutout on it so it will only go back on one way, and if you can't get the rack out with it in place you won't get the rack back in with it in place and welcometo the world of fiddling about blindly trying to line shit up
