I was looking at the properties and def agree that 7075 would be best tho the local metal stockest doesnt keep it and only sells in 4m lenghts so could be very expensive.

Other option as its just for a road car would be to make it out of steel and black oxide finish it possibly.

It would work out alot cheaper and would need to be hard anodized after machining etc.
