300bhp is straight forward, normally consists of steel rods and forged pistons with std crank, a decent ported head, solid lifter cam, and T34 size turbo.
The problem comes around 360bhp, and is where 99% of tuners come into MAJOR problems as essentially thats the reliable max on a cvh engine. However it is possible to go much further in the power stakes, but at a pretty extreme price! Itd also worth pointing out that it took us 15 years of modifiying these engines to develop a package that works, so it's simply not something you can stumble on by buying random parts off t'interweb and fleabay!
Our top spec CVH engines (i.e. beyond 400bhp) cost from 15K.
