As said they simply push in, but if not moved for years they can be truly stuck.
I've had cars where I have had to lever them out, try to wiggle from side to side, and spray some GT85 around the seal area, in all likely hood this won't do a thing but got to be worth a go!!
A bit of brute force needed, fortunately they're very strong physically.
