It had the correct AVO plate under the bonnet, but then again it might have been a converted 1300E?

I heard that the RS shells had slightly thicker chassis rails as the ultimate way to know? But I never got to test that! It had the gussets under the front wings on the suspension tops, anti tramp bars at the back, stone deflector studs in the boot floor, black headlining, beta cloth interior and some small tilt only bucket seats?

As far as I was aware it was an original, and I joined the RSOC with it.

I sold it as a restoration project, along with a shed load of spares and another 2 door shell for next to nothing in about 2000 iirc. How how I wished I had not! I had that Mex for over 10 years!

I might have 1 or 2 pics somewhere of it stripped down.

I did see a genuine one at the RSOC national day 2009 at Donnington. An old fella had it. When I saw it I thought it was my one from a distance! My heart started pounding!! But alas, it was not
