Squealing is usually a sign of the metering flap stuck down slightly and what you hear is the fuel being forced through the injectors. It will be bucketing fuel in for about 5k rpm even though the engine isn't running. I have had them before where the arm that the flap is on has moved across a couple of mm and was catching the venturi and not returning.
apparently the metering unit had been sat for 12 months in a garage before it went onto the car but i have sourced another one so as soon as that comes ill stick it on and give it a go
