even if they were too big and didn't quite reach down to the bottom of stud thread but all 4 were as tight as poss (not over tight though) should that provide sufficent 'support' to prevent anything wobbling and potentially doing any damage?

are there any other options other than those £40 ebay bolts to secure the caps?
