Hang on that's not fair at all. I don't want to get into some sort of protracted argument or trial by PF here but I told you everything I knew about that car, good and bad and you chose to buy it. I did also reduce the price from the original £3750 to £3300 or even £3100 (I can't remember now) - I'd spent that on bits for it alone in 18 months or so. Yes, there was rot on the car but I didn't try to hide that fact whatsoever.
The only bodywork I had done to that car was a back panel and bootlid, which were done at a professional bodyshop (see pics below). I bought the car from a member on here (although through ebay, not PF) so "bodges" were possibly him, or someone before him, but I can CATEGORICALLY say not me. You had all the receipts for work I had done to it, how can you say I'm a "bodger" when it’s all there? I'll hold my hands up to being a total mechanical idiot so I don't even try - I just get work done by professionals. I did nothing but spend money on the car for the time I had it - new Konis, Intercooler, Cossie Brakes, all silicone hoses, etc.
I'm sorry if you are now disappointed with your choice, however I told you good and bad about the car and you and your pal had a full look around it on the saturday and then a second time on the sunday before you bought it. I could perhaps have worded that post better after a few beers last night, and reading back now it does admittedly come across badly but I really don't think you have given a very true account of the facts above.
