a work colleague mate had a corsa that cooked its engine so they brought a supposedley good engine on ebay when the engine arrived the block was cracked so we had to make a bracket to reinforce where the crack was becaust that was where the engine mount was.
fitted the engine filled it with antifreeze and started it up, it rattled like crazy due to a worn timing chain, and the water pump leaked from an engine which apprentley had 45,000 miles on it!

go to a breakers mate at least you can inspect the engine before you pay and see the car it came out of!
