Hello, I've got a mk4 escort currently running a 130bhp 1.8 zetec lump. I need to change the water pump and cam belt, but as there is very little room to work with I'm going to take the engine out.

This got me thinking, if I'm taking the engine out should I drop a 2ltr lump in, in it's place. I know I need to change the water pump to the 1.8ltr model to keep the flow right but my question is this:

what changes will need to be made to the ecu if any? or can i just drop it in and go? I think the car is currently running an rs1800 fiesta ecu with the standard cvh efi.

I bought the car with the convesrion already done so don't know the full history of it but any help/advice welcome.
