I took my engine apart, on my 2wd sapphy, original engine with all mot's since new, it had done 200,973miles, it is still on standard crank, 3 needed a light polish that's all, 1st oversize, I was running 380bhp, but dropped it to 300bhp to get a bit more life, the shells looked perfect, as did the bores etc, std cams re used, even the 200K mile old thrusts on the crank are re used, oil pump was a bit worn but still good, but only £24 new so I changed it.
This was ran for the last 30,000 miles on COMMA 20W50 MINERAL OIL due to the wear, and certainly was not pampered, the rev limiter I set at 7300.
