There were many variations of the T5 internals, even as supplied to ford for the cossie, so I'd stick with the closest stuff to the original, the TQ-D, unless you have serious wear.

Why do you recommend not using the Ford oil? I changed the oil in mine a couple of years ago and was recommended a certain oil (can't remember what it was but it was expensive), I did this and it then started to crunch when changing from 2nd to 3rd, I then changed it again using Ford oil and it has been fine ever since.
