Same here, it's a silly mod to blank it off. Problem is that people used std ERST manifolds and then there is very little room for the front breather.
A good setup is keep the front, fit an oil return below oil level, and add an additonal port to the cam cover.

as rick says there are plenty of ways around fitting breather ports to an engine but imo i would uprate to a bailey tank as ive been told by plenty of tuners that the standard ford baffle is not up to much after 400bhp, i think will pedley offers a billet adaptor that fits into the front on the block that comes with a jic adaptor to make life easier . dan arrowsmith run the front one fitted with a jic adaptor , cam and one added to the back of the block like mine. alot of its to do with room etc so the choice is yours really .
