Engine Systems Fault - Limp Mode (
Hi All
I drive a ST150 (MK6 Fiesta) and have been getting the following error " Engine Systems Fault " in the cluster. When this happens i need to switch off and start again.. (The motor goes into limp mode so i dont have any other choice but to switch off) The error code P1720 - vehicle speed (meter) circut malfunction was printed out through a diagnostic reading.
Over the weekend it happened thrice in one day, after the third time the EMS came on... the next day it switched itself off....
It seems to happen when I’m on an incline (on a highway) and the motor somewhat "labours".. In Urban driving all seems fairly well.
My car went to ford and they advised it might be the throttle body? They’ve checked the sensors etc and all seems to be ok. (The day after it came from ford it happened again)
Does anyone know what this problem is?
