Thanks very much for the info. That makes me feel a whole lot better knowing the engine is probably standard and not been put together. When i brought the car with the Zetec in there were bolts and things missing all over the place on engine mounts, inlet and exhaust manifolds etc! I was concerned that if the head was put on the engine then what else could be missing???

I'm planning to do a cambelt on it before it gets put into the car for the final time anyway along with waterpump and a decent service etc but wondered if a cheap cambelt kit had been used (came with only 1 idler or something?) so i'll replace it all anyway.
