If you use a suck through set up any carb can be used, and a suck through system has many advantages over blow through, most particularly fuel/air mixing and cooling.
If you use the bosch dizzy for the x flow, and tap out the windows in the side of the body, you can then bend the tabs inside to limit the total advance and so avoid any det issues, this is how I used to do my own ignition curves to perfection, advance till the bottom end is good then limit total to sort top end.
