Default YB Cortina

I've just got this on the road but I need to free up some cash (and I've just bought another car) so unfortunately its got to go. It went through it's MOT no problem and so has 11 months MOT and 5 months tax, if theres not much interest I'll prob end up breaking it which would be a shame as I've spent the last 2 years putting it together.

Heres some info!

MK5 CORTINA CRUSADER
YEAR 1983

Very solid body, has had sills etc done in the past, no rust apart from the bit in the boot shown in the pic. Very clean underneath, nothing crusty lurking.

Engine 2L Cosworth 205 block, runs nicely, has had a static set up at MSD but not the on boost fueling as it had no MOT at the time,
T25 turbo from Roose Cosworth (as far as I know - its not an escort one), newly rebuilt by the Turbo Centre, basically a brand new turbo, they replaced everything apart from the main body, 360 thrust bearing fitted, done about 300 miles.
Pace RS500 style intercooler, nicely hidden in the front panel for stealth!
Hi Spec Billet 4 brakes, rebuilt with all new seals, new 285mm vented discs, new Green Stuff pads, braided hoses.
2.3 HD atlas axle
T5 Gearbox
Mint condition Brooklands Capri wheels, no curbing marks etc, they have been painted gunmetal and have nearly new (300 miles old ) Yokahama Prada spec 2 tyres
Mostly polybushed
Stainless exhaust
All fluids g/box, diff etc are fresh, new oil filter and spark plugs, engine oil is Mobil One Motorsport.

The following parts fitted are brand new,

Front springs, - 1 inch from Burtons
Custom one piece propshaft
Electric fan and fan switch
Radiator
Bosch Cosworth fuel pump
Fuel tank, modded to have swirl pot inside
Webber fuel cut off inertia switch
Bailey dump valve
Mocal boost guage
Mocal oil cooler kit and oilstat
Throttle cable
Clutch cable with heat shield

Bad points
Needs the on boost fueling checking/ setting up before any hard use, I've just been pootling around to bed the brakes in and check for any problems so far.
Paintwork is fresh but isn't the best, a few runs and chips so needs a bit of touching up, also I had to roll the arches to get clearance for the front wheels and so they need prepping and painting.
Needs a vacuum switch to operate the vac pump I've fitted for the brake servo (pump works well and brakes are very good using it but the pump isn't meant to run permanantly and I've just got it on a switch), I've just been driving it un assisted while running it in, or you could just tap the manifold for a vac takeoff.
Needs a heater matrix, old one was leaking so have I removed and bypassed it.
Theres a leak somewhere on the passanger side that lets water in onto the footwell, I use a car cover and haven't taken it out in the rain but could do to be tracked down so avoid a rusty floor in the future.

Good bits
Pretty much everything on the car is new or refurbed, just drove it from Southport to Doncaster and it ran fine, just needs the boost/fuelling setting. I've got reciepts for £1900 of parts etc and that doesn't even include everything I've bought for it.
I was told by the person I bought the engine and gearbox off that they were recently rebuilt, they had no receipts so take that as you will but seems to run sweet enough, not smokey and doesn't burn oil/use water.
Anyway heres some pics,

Heres the rusty bit in the boot, repair panels are available, not a big job to fix.

Anyway pm me with any questions, no test pilots, messers etc please.

Price £4200, I'll prob leave it up for a week or so then if not the running gear etc will be up for grabs and I'll prob put it back to standard. Car is in Southport, Merseyside.

Cheers Tom
