Well ladi think the cutting out problem turned out to be the crank position sensor we took it out and cleaned It and it hasn't conked since I will replace it down the line but , at the moment I owe the mechanic for a new flywheel and clutch kit !!! I love the Mondeo but when they start acting up they are a total nightmare, best of luck I think the sensor is on the gearbox
