Sounds cool,get it done fella!!!!!Would it not be easier to fit it all in piecemeal and then use honda box and inner cv`s,then swap to escort cv`s the other end,they should in some way be able to fit,failing that,cut the shaft,make the honda shaft inner female and turn down the outside of the escort shaft into a male,insert them together and a competant welding firm should be able to do the rest.
Just an idea mind you,it`s something i`ve often toyed with in cars before,never done it though!!!
