My mother in law has had a bump in her KA, in a car park so only low impact but put a scrap all down one side.

She has never been in a bump in 40 years of driving so was a little upset

Question is, the other woman will be making a claim naturally, so will it make any odds the mother in law claiming and getting the work fixed on hers at the same time? she will loose her ncd anyway so pointless is not repairing hers imo?

Also, a £2k KA, in metalic with a scrape all down the side, is it likely to get written off? and if so, can she decline to have it written off and just take the max they will offer for repairs for her to organise herself?

Off up to see the damage in a bit and remind her it is only a small prang in a bit of metal.
