Saw in Octane magazine that the owner of BAR Racing has a desk made out of a Dakota Aeroplane wing.

Looks good (see pictures below), but on checking.....and you won't believe this, it costs 8 grand!

Must be a cheaper way of doing this me thinks, so I bought 13ft of Jet Provost tailplane of eBay and am in the process of doing the conversion. Grand total so far £35! Got a few weird looks driving back from the Midlands with an aeroplane wing, stuck out the back of the Sierra. Plod left me alone though.


Checked dimensions and I have less width, but a greater length than the Dakota desk.

Will keep you informed of progress and post pictures of the conversion process.
