The leak was near one of the end tanks on the core itse;f so was braized back up.....really was a very minute leak tbh that i only found when i saw a small stain appear on the back of the rad (coolant).
I ran the rad for over a year after the repair and never had a problem afterwards.
Collection is fine, i'm 10 minutes from junction 18 of the m4 (bath junction).
