was there any play in the bearing? ie, could you rock the wheel back and forth?
And by take a look, i mean take the hub off, clean the grease out and have a look at the state of the bearing, anything other than perfect is fucked.
Your looking for an uneven surface, or discolouration indicating high head and potential warping of the bearing.
Look now, save scraping your self off the m3 later.
