mk4 xr3i to zetec 18 or 2.0 ?
Was searching conversions and wandered what would be best for me as my cvh has nearly expired and im looking for a new engine and thought id see about zetecs .
i tried and failed to find a 1.6 cvh efi engine .
i have a stripped ,balanced and lightend 1.8 zvh with mfi head ,i have conversion plate for efi but this took a back seat when i seen the price of rings and bearings
i have seen a 1.8 92 xr2i conversion for sale locally
i have a 2.0 silvertop for my xr2 ,which i sold and have spare now ,i have 1.8 baffled sump,pick up and dipstick,arp conrod bolts,new water pump,efi flywheel,turbo clutch,new timing belt ,4 branch manifold ,xr2 engine mount and bogg brother manifold and r1 carbs
i use the car daily so would like reliability and good fuel consumpition .
also looking to buy whatever else i need i.e wiring loom or conversion plates for efi
any ideas ?
