Rob,
Its because 99% of tracks are run in a clockwise direction,so the left front wheel takes most of the stress.However I don't know of any other trackday RST owner who has suffered this problem,that includes Tim and Ollie from NMS ,as I discussed this with them over the years.Maybe no-ones trying as hard as me in the corners!
As for the CV.I have broken 3 outer CV joints,all on passenger side.They snapped where the threaded part ends on the CV.So the threaded part,with the big nut fly off into the countryside and the only thing left holding the wheel/hub to the car is the brake caliper over the disc. Again not something I'd recommend trying!!
