This is something i have been looking into with regards to pistons, the turbo was boosting around 30psi when i had the car out, would you say the gasket i used just wasnt man enough for the job and also with the 2thou discrepency on the block, If the news comes back good about the head i will have the bock decked and use a multi layer steel gasket, by doing this i take it the chances of it doing this again with the said boost it was running should be fine if fueling is ok etc ?
