third part extension is a dying breed due to abuse, been there done that but have proper cover now even on a borrowed car.
Thats the theory and thats what should happen but I bet in practice that isn't gurenteed, as they would ask what business the car had being at the location it did at the time it was stolen, bearing in mind insurance companies will do everything they can to not pay out in the majority of cases if they believe they can, it's difficult enough to make a claim under normal circumstances when your fully insured.
