Thumbs up Focus tdci mk1.5 2004 Gearbox Problem

Hello to all Had my Focus for a while and it's a brilliant car! Have replaced the dual mass flywheel for a solid one with new release bearing etc. However, I have now have a slight engine vibration at 1.5k revs! My mechanic says it's caused by the diff bearing in the gearbox being worn so I either have to get my box reconditioned or buy a completely new one! I believe the problem was caused by me changing the flywheel from dual-mass to solid.. and the torsion damper was given additional vibration to cope with due to the inflexible SOLID flywheel ?? Any ideas? I believe the MK1 Focus shares the same box as the transit connect..but howz about any other Fords??? Also, does anyone know where I can source an uprated clutch for a good price? Cheers. Any additional help or tips appreciated.
