I have a ST170 and have decided to install a K&N panel filter instead of an induction kit. This is because of the heatsoak effect the ST suffers from. I have also installed the v2 air deflector thus allowing more cold air directly down the snorkel.
Will drilling the air box allow more air theough and increase power or is it not worth the time to do......any help?

Finally got round to the old 'drill holes in the air box trick' on my Scorpio 2.9 12V. Amazing difference immediately! Improved performance certainly, but best of all is an increase in fuel economy. Before modification average was 18.5 per gallon, after mod average has risen to 24.5.
Seriously impressed.
