Breathing seems to be the key, big boost can get past the rings can't it. I run the big wing sump but took it off for a while and ran a standard one. As long as I kept an eye on the oil level it was fine. Not that I ever had any worries, even after a long run.
I am now concerned that the oil isn't really warming up until I truly gun it!
I may be missing the point here if its something u have just mentioned! but the sump has nothing to do with the oil getting up to temp? do u have an oil cooler maybe u are over cooling your oil as it sould get upto temp with normal driveing
