you have to slide column up and off the rack,its the only way as you have to slide bearings over and back down .
when you re-assemble,theres a plastic tag on the upper bearing that locates in a slot.
hold it in place whilst you gently tighten steering wheel lock nut.
be carefull and make sure its alligned.
very easy job once you start mate
But surely you dont need to seperate it from the Rack? From what I can see the outer black tube slides off the inner column.
