if it turns but doens't open, spray loads of wd40 type stuff into the hole and see if this helps open the boot

otherwise you will have to get inside the car and break the panel to get to what you need to get to, it's only one little pin

apparently the pin panels for the electrics are the same for all the cars from that era so anyone from a scrappy will work
