the lock won't open because the lock is fubar

you can get a replacement lock from ford for about £40 with a new tumbler and all new bits an bobs to make it fit

it is a bit fiddly to build the lock but it's fairly straight forward, just make sure you use the correct grease to grease it up

as for the solinoid not working, test it with a live feed first before you buy a new one

the contact panel may just be corroded so remove both bits, again, a little tricky, and then clean up all the contacts with either switch cleaner or some scotch pad from the kitchen
