You dont need to tell me about charge coolers mate, I have one in my nova.
But the problem is you DONT remove heat with the water, you just move it to somewhere else (ie in the water) where it then stays until you remove it via airflow across a radiator (two 600cc motorbike ones in my case)
The problem is that the water in the water to air radiators at the front will never be as cold as the outside air as its not 100% efficient, and then the metal in the air to water cooler inside the charger wont ever be as cold as the water.
so the air inside a charge cooler invariably sees hotter metal than the air inside an intercooler
you are just mutliplying up the inefficiencies.
That said, for on/off use they work ok as they have time to recove in between, but for track use I really dont like them, I only have one because I absolutely have to do so, the extra weight is another issue.
