This is normally the sign of a worn bottom end, but as you say it was rebuilt recently shouldn't really be that and as you have changed the switch and it doesn't do it any more hopefully thats all it was but I thought I'd just mention it.
I personally have not had a lifter stick and although people say CVH's can be tappy when the cam/lifters are worn I've had lobes wear down to almost being round and them still not tap because being hydraulic they self adjust, so long as you have good oil pressure of course.
