sorry guys should of said the first problems in my post werent down to the steam clean, the ticking noise started with the steam clean which i now regret if the oil pump has gone shouldnt the oil light be coming on now with the new switch? i havent got a oil pressure gauge to check, is there any other way i could check?
The oil light will come on with the ignition, then go out once oil pressure is achieved (usually straight after starting)
