the new range rovers dont have stop start mate, think your on about the freelander 2 td4 its a 2.2ltr diesel. very reliable little motor i work on them everyday and would rather have one than a poor unreliable range rover. they use a different type of starter motor for this new system that as far as im aware hasnt gone wrong yet, well ive never seen 1 go tits up lol. its still a shit system tho as it doesnt work when youve got certain things turned on (aircon ect).
