you ideally want to try a range of polishes. start of with a finnishing polish on a finnishing pad and assess whether this is giving you the level of correction you require. if not consider moving upto a polishing pad and/or polish and assess again. with polishing there is no correct formula - different paints require different combos to correct, and deep defects may not be able to remove completely. check out detailingworld.co.uk for professional polishing advice. they have a really good guide on polishing. hth
