why tell em its a write off?

ive never told an insurance company and they never give me shit, if it gets hit you get less at the aprasial end of
when i worked at a main dealers and we had 1 in thats been cat'd if they dont check we repair if they do then they write off or owner can pay extra to get fixed via us depending on the quote etc
