Morning Peeps!!

Had a PC built for me last night with the above processor (not sure what motherboard I've got, but its definatly been matched to the processor)

we checked the BIOS and its running at 200mhz X 5 = 1000mhz

but its a 2GB processor and SHOULD be running at 2000mhz easily!!

we checked the PC in the office and that is running 133mhz x 13 = approx 1.7GB but that is a lesser processor than what i have!!?!?

we notished that his voltage was 1.7 compared to mine running at 1.5, not sure wether this makes any difference!!!

the MAXIMUM that the bios allows is 280mhz x whatever...

When you turn the PC on, the XP screen comes on, and the chips SAFE AND SOUND screen comes up showing it running at 2000mhz, but then within a second it drops to 1770 and then 1000 within about 3 seconds!!!

Can anyone shed any light on this at all before I speak to AMD?!?!?!

as I will need the chip to be doing what it can do!! no point in it running at 1GB all the time!!!
